"Molly Scott shows warmth and understanding in her music…. a true artist."     —New York Times

"Her artistry transcends the demarcations people set up between folk, classical and traditional music. The whole world of life, love, color and experience is her province."       —Robert J. Lurtsema, Public Radio

Molly Scott's extensive career in music and the performing arts has led her from the world of concerts, radio, television and theater, to a doctoral degree in counseling psychology and a focus on the power of the voice to effect personal, spiritual and political change. Beginning her performing career as a folksinger, then training in classical voice, musical theater and composition, her wide experience in different forms and styles shapes her eclectic approach to music. Her focus as a composer and performer is to "create music which illuminates our connections with the earth and each other". A practicing psychotherapist and educator as well as musician, she lectures and leads workshops and trainings in the United States and Europe on the therapeutic use of the voice.
